ABOUT BRENDA L. TURINO

Since 1995, Brenda L. Turino's company, BLT Marketing Inc., has serviced businesses that are committed to using creative and innovative ideas for change and growth. Brenda combines her career experience, natural talent of visualizing concepts and developing programs with her well-defined design/layout skills to make marketing memorable.

Brenda continuously shares her marketing knowledge through, brainstorming, coaching, presentations and teaching at business resource centres in Brampton, Mississauga, Rexdale and Richmond Hill. Brenda's dynamic style and creative approach motivates and inspires audiences.

In 1993, Brenda found her passion for youth. For Kmart Canada she created Marty's Kid Club, which won international acclaim. She received recognition from the Peel District School Board for her contribution to the North Park Secondary School's International Co-op Program, by Women In Motion as a facilitator at their conferences. Most recently from the Toronto Catholic District School Board for the development of a positive P.L.A.Y. program to promote physical activity during school yard recess. She has worked with the Spelling Bee of Canada to develop a new image as well as the Ministry of the Environment to create a youth strategy and several initiatives promoting pollution prevention.

On her own initiative, she developed The Great Canadian Kids' Connection, a multi-million dollar organization for children aged 3-12 to learn positive life skills. In 2001, Brenda developed two interactive presentations to enlighten high school, college and university students to choose their path in life and how to market themselves for success. Brenda continues to support youth at Sheridan College School of Business by volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors for a student management team involved with the Business Strategy Game.

BLT Marketing Inc. has become a staple in the Peel Region. From Sponsorship of local team sports, mentoring through Big Sisters, a past marketing chair of the Brampton Board of Trade to being the founder of several women's entrepreneurial networking groups called G.R.O.W. Brenda has certainly been a contributing member to her community. Her continued support has also been recognized by numerous nominations for businesswomen awards.
